If you’re ready to switch up your workout and focus on specific muscle groups, Columbia Association’s toning classes are a great option. You’ll focus on target zones such as arms, legs, back, and core.
Many of CA’s toning classes are combined with a cardio workout, allowing you to burn more calories and build more muscle. A number of these classes incorporate resistance bands and weights to help you get the job done.
Toning classes are open to all levels of experience and fitness, and they’re a great change of pace from other fitness routines. After all, with all the hard work you put into staying fit, why not make it even more noticeable by toning your physique?

Ballet Barre- Registration Required
Includes traditional ballet technique plus toning. Learn an easy-to follow full ballet cardio combination while burning calories. All levels. CD, ST
Integrated movement and postures from ballet, Pilates, and yoga to lengthen, strengthen, and shape your body. A variety of props such as bands, balls, and weights are used. All levels. ST
Weight training set to motivating music, using barbells with changeable weights for all fitness levels. Check in 10 minutes before class or your spot may be given away. ST
Classic cardio moves designed to increase stamina combined with strength training and flexibility exercises to keep you feeling strong and limber. For all levels. CD, ST
LaBlast dance alternating with strength training using light weights. Core conditioning may also be included. Appropriate for all fitness levels. CD, ST
Tighten and tone core muscles and improve functional strength for balance, mobility, and injury prevention. Uses body weight, resistance bands and light free weights. A 30 minute full core workout that includes a series of core exercises using resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches. All levels. ST
Strengthen, sculpt, and stretch the entire body using dumbbells and ballet-inspired movements without a barre. May include cardio elements such as boxing. For all levels. CD, ST
