CA’s Latest Strategic Plan Process Is Underway
Columbia Association (CA) is embarking on a months-long process to develop the organization’s next strategic plan. The Board of Directors is charged with revamping this plan every five years.
CA’s Board of Directors will work with a third party consultant and CA’s senior leadership team to work through high-level priorities and objectives to achieve CA’s service-driven mission. That includes soliciting input from the community.
The end result – anticipated for April 2024 – will be a comprehensive plan that identifies CA’s strategic priorities for the next five years.
Why is the strategic plan important?
A strategic plan helps guide our organization’s future, helping to ensure that our actions and investments align with CA’s vision, mission and values.
Each strategic plan has a five-year horizon, which means the upcoming plan will run through spring 2029. Click here to review the current strategic plan.
The process will include collecting feedback from the community through a survey, reviewing past strategic plans and documents, coordinating public meetings for additional community feedback, orchestrating an all-day session for the Board to outline the strategic plan and drafting a plan for review. That final document is scheduled to be approved in April 2024. Click here to watch a presentation by the third party consultant to the Board of Directors that summarizes the process.
