People tanning on swimming pool chairs outside of the Wilde Lake Swim Center. When the Swim Center was first built, it had a canvas roof so it could be an indoor and outdoor pool. After the first winter, it was quickly realized that the canvas roofing would not work.
The Columbia community always looked forward to celebrating Columbia’s birthday at the annual City Fair. People of all ages enjoyed the rides, food and games.
Bryant Woods neighborhood pool was the first completed out of the 23 pools that exist in Columbia today.
