Columbia Association’s Andy Guerin named Head Coach of the Year by TRIBE Team Training
FEBRUARY 18, 2020 — Columbia Association (CA) personal trainer Andy Guerin has been named the 2019 Head Coach of the Year by TRIBE Team Training North America Inc.
Tribe Team Training is a small-group training program led by certified coaches, who guide Tribe participants through expertly designed workouts.
Guerin was recognized for mastering the Tribe Team Training Coaching Foundations — including leadership, inspirational coaching techniques, and team spirit — and for his ability to continuously improve his team members’ development and athletic performance.
“What I love the most about Tribe Team Training is the community it builds,” Guerin says. “So many of my Tribe members have met great friends through Tribe and now work out and hang out together outside of the studio. I also love to see the progress that my members make and the excitement when they are able to accomplish something that they could not do when the session started. People have so much more strength and ability than they know — and I love to help bring that out of them!”
Guerin has been a Tribe head coach since the program launched at Columbia Association in January 2019.
“Andy’s passion exudes from him in every session he delivers to our members and in the way he motivates and encourages his team of coaches to be their best,” said Leslie Flynn, general manager of Columbia Athletic Club. Flynn oversees CA’s personal training and small-group training programs. “Andy truly lives the Tribe lifestyle in every sense of the word and has already helped countless people through this program.”
Columbia Association offers Tribe Team Training in three formats that focus on different aspects of functional performance — TribeCORE, TribeFIT and TribeLIFE — at Columbia Athletic Club and Supreme Sports Club. The program will expand to Columbia Gym in March 2020. Tribe is open to the public; you don’t need to be a CA member to sign up.
