Concern About Air Traffic Noise
Residents who are concerned about changes made to arrival and departure paths at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport may learn more below and at the links provided.
The changes made to the fight paths fall under the FAA-led modernization program of our nation’s air transportation system, called NextGen. Its goal is to increase the safety, efficiency, capacity, predictability, and resiliency of American aviation. This transformation is being achieved through an ongoing roll out of improvements which began in 2007. NextGen remains on target to have all major components in place by 2025.
