As the Director of Information Technology at Columbia Association, Armsby Carbon leads the development and implementation of enterprise-wide IT operations. Committed to strengthening CA’s cybersecurity and improving the user experience, he takes pride in offering team and community members reassurance that we are doing our due diligence to protect their information and enhance efficiency.
Throughout Armsby’s 15+ year career, he has led teams across several different industries and organizations, including public, private and non-profit. Before joining CA, Armsby served as the Director of IT, Technical Support Services at Baltimore City Public Schools, a large urban school district that serves around 80,000 students and 10,000 staff members across 160+ facilities.
He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Morgan State University and a master’s degree in management information systems from University of Maryland Baltimore County, along with several leading industry credentials including: PMP, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, CISSP, CDPSE, COBIT and ITIL.
When he’s not adding more acronyms to his title, Armsby enjoys cycling, traveling and family time. If he had to choose the soundtrack to his life, it would be “Give Thanks” by Agent Sasco – a song that always reminds him to be grateful in the face of adversity.
