The Youth & Teen Center’s (YTC) Summer Teen Excursions offer a wide variety of educational, fun, broad, and exciting opportunities to experience much of what the surrounding area has to offer to young people. These field trips for youth in 6th-12th grade are meant to provide an opportunity to be in community with other youth and have experiences that will broaden their experiences and views of the world.
The Teen Center Summer Teen Excursions will be between 4 states (Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey) and Washington, DC. From visiting the Nation’s Capital to where the Constitution was written to the beautiful environmental trails, youth will have experiences that will only help to broaden their view of the world.
Any youth who plans to attend any field trip must be registered with the Youth and Teen Center. To register please fill out the registration form. There is no cost to register with the YTC. However, there is a cost for the excursions which are to be paid in advance.
The YTC Summer Teen Excursions are part of the drop-in program, not licensed childcare. While we provide safe and active supervision during field trips, the expectation is that the participants are mature enough to handle a less-structured environment.
All excursions will depart from the Youth & Teen Center at the Barn located at 5853 Robert Oliver Place in the Oakland Mills Village, across from Dunkin Donuts.
