Aquatics Hiring Information

Columbia Association (CA) is looking for new lifeguards and pool managers in your community.

In order to be an Aquatics New Lifeguard, Lesson Instructor, or Aquatics CNSL Assistant Coach for CA you must be 15 by May 23rd, 2025.

The first step in the process is to submit an application starting on or after 12/2/2024

The second step is to pass a water screening. You will need to pre-register by calling the Aquatics Office at 410-312-6332.

The water screenings will take place at the Columbia Swim Center.

Applicants will be asked to swim 200-yard swim (8 lengths), retrieve a ten-pound brick from the diving well (feet first), and tread water for two minutes.

After successful completion of the Water Screening, applicants will be contacted to schedule a Group Interview.

If you are “Active” / ”Inactive” in Dayforce and wish to apply for a promotion for the summer, you will need to apply within your Dayforce account starting 12/2/2024.

If you are having difficulties logging into DayForce e-mail Aquatics@ColumbiaAssociation.org, your summer application must be done in your CA DayForce account.

If you are “Active” / “Inactive” in Dayforce and do not wish to pursue a promotion you will need to send an email to Aquatics@ColumbiaAssociation.org beginning 12/2/2024 stating that you wish to work in the same position for the 2024 summer season and your top three pool preferences.
