CA is pleased to offer Rotating Partner Match Play Leagues for 2.5/3.0 players to compete in doubles play as teams. Teams are organized by combined National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) ratings. A 2.5 player will partner with a 3.0 player to create a 5.5 Mixed, Women’s or Men’s teams.
League Description
These leagues are internal Columbia Association Tennis Leagues for Adults 18 and Over.
Players need a valid NTRP rating to participate, however match results do NOT count towards your NTRP rating.
Players and captains can participate on more than one team at different NTRP levels. Players and captains can only participate on one team at an individual NTRP level.
The season will run outdoors September 1 through November 1.
Regularly scheduled matches will be OUTDOORS at Owen Brown Tennis Club and Wilde Lake Tennis Club.
Matches will be scheduled weeknights at 6:00pm and 8:00pm and weekends from 10am through 6pm.
Matches will have a two (2) hour time limit.
Rained out matches will be FLEXED by both teams.
THIS IS NOT A USTA LEAGUE – so the 4 player rule does NOT apply.
Each match consists of three doubles matches played on three courts. The format may also include best of two tie-break sets with a match tie-break instead of a third set.
