For a Greener, Cleaner Columbia

We here in Columbia have a shared responsibility to protect the environment for future generations, and that’s what the Climate Change & Sustainability Advisory Committee (CCSAC) is all about.

This committee is looking for new members! Members must have professional experience in a relevant field, such as sustainability, environmental science, community engagement, etc.

Drawing on their knowledge and background in the subject matter, CCSAC members support CA’s efforts to address the ongoing threat of climate change. This includes advising on topics like energy efficiency, waste management and water quality. The CCSAC also works to provide education around clean energy practices and was a critical piece of a recent effort to assess climate vulnerabilities throughout the community

Meetings / Sessions

The CCSAC typically meets on the second Wednesday of every month from 7-8:30pm. Members also participate in sub-committee meetings on a regular basis.
