[Updated 3/24/26] Because the number of nominees for the Harper’s Choice village board is equal to the number of open board seats, they are deemed automatically elected. However, there is a contested election for the Columbia Council representative this year. See below for the list of candidates.

Save the date:
- Sunday, March 1: Nomination petitions available.
- Saturday, March 14: Nomination petitions due by 5pm.
Vote
Harper’s Choice village board candidates* (deemed elected):
- Joycelyn P. Jones
- Stephen Lee Sprecher
Columbia Council representative candidates:
- Ashley Vaughan
- Alan Klein
Who can vote:
- Owners or renters in compliance with Harper’s Choice covenants.
- Only one vote is permitted for each property. In the case of a rental property, both owner and tenant may cast a ballot (tenants must have a lease on file with the Harper’s Choice Community Association in order to vote).
How to vote:
- You can vote online, in-person or via mail-in absentee ballot.
Save the date:
- Early April: Election info will be mailed out via the Harper’s Choice Voice Newsletter.
- Wednesday, April 15: Meet the Candidates’ night from 7-9pm at Kahler Hall.
- Friday, April 24: Mail-in absentee ballots due by 11:59pm. Online votes due by 5pm.
- Saturday, April 25: Election day! In-person voting is open from 9am-3pm at Kahler Hall.
