Columbia Art Center offers art classes in Columbia, MD and is dedicated to providing artistic experiences in the visual arts for all ages and interest levels and to join with local arts organizations and community businesses in creating diverse offerings.

Columbia Art Center offers rotating gallery exhibitions, a gallery gift shop, summer art camp for children, studio rentals, a Japanese Garden, art and life enhancement lectures and more! The Gallery Shop at the Art Center sells a variety of one-of-a-kind handcrafted and affordable artwork created by instructors and students.

Exhibits at the Art Center

This is Free, and open to the public, no registration required.

Enjoy viewing a powerful collection of art created by 78 local female artists that reflect the 2026 Visionary Women theme: Reservoir of Strength.

The exhibit includes a wide selection of paintings, mixed media, photographs, drawings, sculptures, stained glass, and mosaics. This annual visual arts show is held each March in honor of National Women’s History Month. Also, mark your calendar for the Visionary Women Reception, on Saturday, March 14, from 12:30-2:00pm, at the Columbia Art Center.
