CA teens encourage all students to “Start & Finish the School Year Strong”
Last May, CA’s Teen Advisory Committee felt inspired to step up and help younger students “finish the school year strong.” Now, they’re helping students start the year strong as well with a free weekly study/recreation session to provide middle schoolers with the resources they need to thrive — whether that means tutoring help or playing games with new friends.
“We’re part of the Teen Advisory Committee to offer our time and give back to the community that gave us so much. Now we want to help other kids,” says Lauren Simms, president of the Teen Advisory Committee. “It feels good to transition from attending these kinds of activities to hosting them.”
This program will kick off November 18 and continue each Mondays afternoon (3:30-5:30pm) at Supreme Sports Club.
And yes, it’s free to any middle school students who want to be involved.
“The past few years have been tough, and we all just want to connect,” says Saanvi Thakre, Teen Advisory Committee member. “This is a perfect opportunity to make those connections that mean so much.”
We’re so proud of our awesome teens for lifting each other up! You can learn more about the Teen Advisory Committee here.
