Ask CA: What is the Columbia Card?
Pool season is officially here, and CA’s Customer Care team has been getting lots of questions about the Columbia Card. Why? Because this free card allows you to access CA’s pools at a significantly discounted rate — and the perks extend far beyond pool season, too.
This month’s “Ask CA” is dedicated to answering the question: What is the Columbia Card?
Benefits of the Columbia Card
The Columbia Card is a free card that allows you to access CA facilities at a reduced, pay-as-you-go rate.
So, who’s eligible to get one? Anyone who lives on CA-assessed property, but isn’t a CA member. The Columbia Card allows you to enjoy discounts on CA’s pools, tennis courts, golf courses, group fitness classes and kids’ programs.
As far as pool season goes, Columbia Cardholders get discounted rates and four guest passes per family for the 2024 season, which can be used at any CA pool Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays). All Columbia Cardholders also get free admission to CA’s outdoor pools on the second Sunday of each month.
How do you get a Columbia Card?
Obtaining a Columbia Card is an easy and free process.
“The easiest way to get your Columbia Card set up is to fill out this form on our website,” says Jennifer Wilkie, Senior Manager of CA’s Customer Care Team. “It only takes a few minutes to unlock all the great benefits.”
You’ll need to provide a few details to receive your Columbia Card, including a phone number, dates of birth for each member on your account, and proof of address. You can use any of these documents to verify your address:
- Drivers license or change of address card
- BGE or other utility bill
- Bank statement
- Mortgage or lease agreement (cannot be a person-to-person lease)
- If your child has a different last name than you, you’ll also need to bring a copy of their birth certificate.
You can also contact CA’s Customer Care Team at CustomerCare@ColumbiaAssociation.org or 410-730-1801, option 6. Or, feel free to stop in any of our three fitness clubs (Columbia Athletic Club, Columbia Gym, Supreme Sports Club) to apply.
