What's Happening in Columbia
Transportation

Columbia has access to a wide variety of public transportation means, including a local intracounty bus system, commuter busses to DC and Baltimore and MARC commuter trains linking Baltimore and Washington.

Local bus service is provided by Howard Transit Service. Bus routes connect most of Columbia's village centers to the Columbia Mall, Howard County General Hospital, Howard Community College, the libraries and Ellicott City. For complete bus schedule information call, toll free, 800-270-9553.

Commuter bus service to Baltimore and Washington is available through Eyre Bus Service. For commuter bus information and information on MARC trains, call the Maryland Transit Administration at 410-539-5000.

Senior Events Shuttle
The Senior Advisory Committee sponsors a free curb-to-curb evening and weekend transportation shuttle to cultural events throughout Howard County for groups of 4 or more seniors ages 60 and over. Click here to learn more.
